Blue Ocean is a technology company that provides access to a live and actionable stream of financial product tick data. These data reflect the content of a liquidity pool in the U.S. Blue Ocean is an ATS for the trading of **U.S. Equities** overnight, during APAC daytime hours.

Currency: US Dollar (USD)

Trading Hours: Sunday–Thursday 9:00 PM–4:00 AM ET.

Blue Ocean follows the U.S. market calendar as published by the NYSE.

  * Order Types: only Limit Day orders are currently available

====== Basic Market Rules ======

  * Lot Size: 100 shares.
  * Tick Size: varies by price and security.
  * Short Sale Rules: Short selling is available for symbols with shares in the shorting pool.

===== Volatility Price Bands ======
Note that Blue Ocean ATS (BOATS) employs a 20% price band during its trading session. Orders entered into the ATS at the open and during the trading session that are priced at more than 20% away from the reference price for that NMS stock, the ATS rejects the order.

The reference price is the last sale price for each security printed on a national securities exchange as of 7:30 ET. In addition to the 20% risk check, BOATS also employs single order share size and notional value checks on each order.
