Download PPro8 for TMS<\/h2>\n

Step 1: download and install\u00a0the PPro8\u00a0client.<\/h3>\n

Download and extract the client .zip file, and then double-click the setup.exe file to install PPro8. By default, PPro8 installs to this folder: C:\\Program Files\\Ralota\\PPro8 Yupana\\. Find the PPro8.exe<\/strong> file (not<\/em> the PPro8 icon file)\u00a0in the folder, right-click it, and then click Properties<\/strong>. Click the Compatibility<\/strong> tab and select the check box for the\u00a0Run this program as an administrator<\/strong>\u00a0option. Step 2: Windows Firewall Settings.<\/h3>\n

Approve Firewall Exception Requests on PPro8 Launch<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

When you start PPro8 for the first time, please make sure you permit the firewall exception requests for all PPro8-related executables including PPro8.exe, CDSD.exe, Logger.exe, PProAPI.exe, etc.<\/p>\n

PPro8 – and its related tools – need these exceptions to transit your firewall properly.<\/p>\n

Disable Windows Firewall<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

If you are unable to get PPro8 to run having granted the firewall exceptions as above, you should disable the firewall to ensure you are able to launch on that basis before revisiting your firewall settings.<\/p>\n

To disable the windows firewall:<\/p>\n

For Windows 11<\/strong>: Select the Start button>Settings>Update & Security>Windows Security and then Firewall & network protection. Open Windows Security settings. Select a network profile. Under Microsoft Defender Firewall, switch the setting to Off.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong>\u00a0every time Microsoft releases an automatic update for Windows (version 10), Windows Firewall can get\u00a0re-enabled. Please double-check and ensure that Windows Firewall is disabled after each Windows update.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> even with the firewall disabled, Windows still blocks some traffic when the network type is set to Public (i.e., the default setting for all unknown\/new networks the PC is connected to). Please ensure that it is set to Private, as follows:<\/p>\n

Step 3: launch and log into PPro8 TMS.<\/h3>\n

Double-click the PPro8 desktop shortcut. The login window appears. Click a language in the language selection menu, click\u00a0TMS<\/strong> in the environment selection menu, type your email address and PPro8 password, and then click OK<\/strong>. PPro8 TMS opens and you can begin to practice trading the stock market.<\/p>\n

Notes<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In Windows 11, you will see a window saying ‘Windows protected your PC’, with a ‘Don’t run’ button. If it appears, click <\/span>More info<\/b>, and then click <\/span>Run anyway<\/b>, to proceed with installation.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Windows 11, you will see a dialog window asking ‘How do you want to open this?’. Press <\/span>Esc<\/b> to close it.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you encounter issues logging into or running PPro8,\u00a0set permissions for the PPro8 folder as follows:<\/p>\n

Right-click the PPro8 Yupana folder, and then click Properties<\/strong>. Click\u00a0the Security<\/strong> tab, and then click a user. In the Permissions<\/strong> section, click Edit<\/strong>, and then\u00a0select the check mark for\u00a0Full Control<\/strong>\u00a0in the Allow<\/strong> column. Click OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
